This is a progressive classification (System Developer I-II). Classification and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.
Under the direction of the Customer Support Applications Leader or team lead, you will participate in the support, analysis, design,
development, testing, implementation, and documentation of new and existing customer applications.
Responsibilities:
- Consult with business partners, Business Analysts and other System Developers for the analysis, design, development,
- Participate in maintaining the portfolio of Customer Support Applications section software.
- Participate in the system study phase including the project proposal, the definition of user requirements, development of
- Responsible for the following as they relate to application development and maintenance:
- Prepare labour and processing estimates for small development, maintenance, and enhancement projects;
- Perform, assist with, or coordinate programming tasks during the development of new or changed applications;
- Develop source code, test, debug, and install programs and modifications;
- Evaluate performance of the existing applications and system components and make recommendations for revisions which,
- Prepare or assist in the preparation of system documentation and user manuals;
- Establish test procedures.
- Troubleshoot system problems brought to our attention directly from our clients or via the Corporate Service Desk.
- Analyze the impact of technical change on applications on a continuous basis and develop risk assessments and contingency
- Perform system development activities according to standards and standard techniques.
- Train or arrange for the training of users.
- Required to keep abreast of new industry products, techniques, and technological change.
Qualifications:
- A four year degree in Computer Science from a university of recognized standing with a minimum of two years of directly
OR
- A two year diploma in Computer Programming Technology from an institute of recognized standing with a minimum of four
- Knowledge of the customer systems and/or financial domain would be considered an asset.

- Knowledge of the system development lifecycle methodology and an understanding of the use of the methodology for

Salary Range
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the System Developer I classification is
$26.79-$35.91 Hourly, $51,342.98-$68,804.84 Annually. The range for the System Developer II classification is $33.45-$46.28
Hourly, $64,091.82-$88,683.66 Annually.
