Collaborating with the Manager, Warehouse Operations, the incumbent will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service that will involve selecting, packing, and shipping warehouse materials to internal and external customers. They will also be responsible for the mailroom and internal courier functions and ensure a clean, organized and safe warehouse working environment is maintained.

In this role, you will:

  • Assemble and pack Red Cross external and internal customer orders as requested within designated timeframes and standards.
  • Dispatch orders using appropriate shipping method; investigate and perform shipping traces as required.
  • Receive, verify and place incoming materials and monitor inventory levels.
  • Learn and remain current with inventory product specifications and respond to related internal inquiries.
  • Maintain clean and safe warehouse working area and equipment according to designated standards.
  • Provide input and coordinate special distribution of materials for designated projects.
  • Perform mail and weekly courier functions.

What we are looking for:

  • High School diploma and/or one to three years of experience in warehousing or job-related work experience.
  • Superior customer service and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proven ability to remain organized, prioritized, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively.
  • Ability to form effective working relationships.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative.
  • Proficient computer and analytical skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 kg (44 lbs).


Working conditions

  • 35-hour work week, Monday to Friday (08:30 to 16:30).
  • The majority of the work is performed on your feet in an indoor warehouse environment.
  • Forklifts are not used – skids are moved via pallet jack only.
  • This position requires a satisfactory Canadian criminal record and reference check.
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 is mandatory for this position and operation (the CRC will however adhere to its duty to accommodate those who are unable to be fully vaccinated for a reason related to a human right protected ground)
