Job Description
Most Of The Things You’ll Work On:
- Source products and services across categories, including hardware, software and services
- Understand and apply standard procurement principles
- Be able to work to deadlines and contracted KPIs - focus on quick turnaround and savings
- maintain product version while interacting with the support systems analyst, following procedures for testing and implementing updates to the company at large everything else looks good
- Be confident negotiating price, payment terms and delivery timescales to achieve targets and increase protection for our customers
- Evaluate supplier price, quality, and delivery performance
- Onboard new suppliers and maintain existing supplier records
- Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships through effective communications
- Prepare and implement appropriate forms of contract commitment with suppliers, engaging legal counsel and senior management when required
- Understand customer needs and take prompt action on their requests
- Stay current and up to date on market changes that may affect the supply and demand of products/services. Communicate this effectively to relevant stakeholders
- Attend meetings and update other colleagues on issues or concerns to share best practices and define processes
- Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance, and develop a continuous improvement strategy.
- Production and Maintenance of bespoke reports and review of purchase requisitions for accuracy and compliance with procurement policy
- Creating and Maintenance of backup documentation to support procurement policy
- Vendor onboarding and resolution of inquiries with the vendor
- Work with Accounts Payable and FP&A teams
- Drive process adherence and improvement
- Ensure compliance with SOX or Cybersecurity requirements and assist with other ad-hoc requests and projects as needed.
Qualifications
You’ll Need To Have:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the IT or Design Technology industry in roles including, but not limited to, sourcing, buying and supply chain management.
- Motivated to learn new skills and take on challenges
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment
- Experience in managing supplier interactions and ideally some experience in reviewing contracts
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, suppliers and customers
- Able to lead work and interact with suppliers and customers.
- Analytical skills in evaluating supplier terms, comparing prices and benchmarking data
- Ability to influence stakeholders and negotiate with suppliers
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Power BI

We are currently in a work from home model during COVID-19 but when we do return to the office we're located at 55 St Clair Ave W, Toronto, ON M4V 1N5, Canada.
Located at 55 St. Clair Ave West, this office is steps away from St. Clair station and is easily accessible by bike, TTC and car. Occupying 7 floors, with over 700 employees, it is the largest office at IBI Group. The floors are open concept and represent our collaborative approach to projects. You’ll have direct access to management while benefiting from our enthusiastic and helpful organisational resources team. As a global architecture, engineering and technology design firm, IBI Group also has offices across the country, continent and world.
