Responsibilities for Heavy Metal Worker:

  • Move material to and from storage and production areas.
  • Hangs/take down racks of material.
  • Inspect, weigh and package final material.
  • Maintain tools and equipment.
  • Lifting up to 50lbs.

Requirements for Heavy Metal Worker:

  • Safety shoes.
  • Hardhat, provided for a fee.

Sliced FC <\u002Fb>is a Fresh Cut Processor with two state of the art facilities located in Western Canada. We provide a wide assortment of fruit and vegetable products utilizing produce sourced from certified growers around the world! We are continually growing our selection of food service and retail items, and we specialize in designing custom programs to fit our customers' needs. By being flexible, innovative, and having the ability to deliver within hours to surrounding areas, the Sliced FC team is able to provide long lasting fresh-cut produce.<\u002Fp>\n

To contribute to food safety and quality of products with focus on monitoring, testing, and inspection of materials, products, and equipment to ensure customer and regulatory requirements are consistently met.<\u002Fp>\n

Key Accountabilities: <\u002Fb><\u002Fp>\n

  • Performs pre-operational inspection in accordance with food safety requirements<\u002Fli>\n
  • Performs CCP verifications, incoming material inspections, and in-process product inspections and finished product quality inspections<\u002Fli>\n
  • Ensures timely and accurate documentation and records keeping is performed<\u002Fli>\n
  • Performs in-house calibration of inspection and monitoring equipment, such as thermometers, scales, etc.<\u002Fli>\n
  • Assists with verification and validation activities including new product launch to ensure conformance to customers and compliance to regulatory requirements<\u002Fli>\n
  • Conducts shelf-life studies of in-house retention samples<\u002Fli>\n
  • Participates in the SQF and CFIA inspections<\u002Fli>\n
  • Provides timely feedback to Management on any quality and food safety issues<\u002Fli>\n
  • Assists the SQF Practitioner in conducting employee training<\u002Fli>\n<\u002Ful>\n

    Education and Experience: <\u002Fb><\u002Fp>\n

    • Previous experience in a similar role in a food manufacturing environment is considered an asset<\u002Fli>\n<\u002Ful>\n
