Drake International is currently searching for an Estimator / Project Manager for our award-winning client. If you want to join an award winning organization specializing in industrial rigging and moving then this will be a great opportunity for you!Reporting to the General Manager, the Project Manager / Estimator is responsible for all aspects of successful project execution. You will provide overall leadership and control of the project, typically involving scope definition, scheduling, mobilization, engineering, design procurement, subcontracts, construction, commissioning and closeout.

Accountabilities:

- Provide excellent customer service to our clients, communicating effectively
- Be accountable for project team performance and results

- Effectively manage project from pre bid walkthrough to commissioning and project close out, managing scope and ensuring that any changes to scope are documented and approved using a change order process

- Provide discipline specific technical mentorship to the engineering and field teams
- Review plans & specifications to determine scope of work and define project requirements
- Work with project stakeholders to develop project estimates and proposals (scope, schedule, cost, team, execution plan)
- Ensure regular communication and proactive client relationship management
- Working with the business development team to secure new work contracts
- Supporting development and execution of the company strategy
- Manage onsite trades and subcontractors
- Be involved with engineering design review (design improvements and constructability feedback)
- Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, skill and motivation, ensuring that each project has the resources to meet or exceed project goals
- 5+ years of work experience in construction, or other related technical field
- 2+ years of experience as a Estimator/Project Manager in the industrial construction sector
- Significant experience mentoring, coaching, and leading a team and the ability to hold members responsible for their performance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all stakeholder levels – including suppliers and fabricators, field and office staff, consultancies, and clients and owners
- Estimating and business development experience, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset is an asset
- Attention to detail but ability to focus on the big picture
- Strong work ethic - willing to do what it takes to get the job done
- Proficient in MS project, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Outstanding time management, prioritization, multitasking, and organizational skills
