  • Manage the integration of workforces from corporate acquisitions, including international workforces.<\u002Fli>\n
  • Manage the implementation process for the adoption of ADP Pay at Work and ADP Workforce Now, including all HRIS components. Manage the paper-based\u002Fcloud-based personnel records and timekeeping systems with a high level of organization prior to full implementation.<\u002Fli>\n
  • Prepare bi-weekly payroll with timeliness and precision in coordination with the Accounting Dept. Review and update payroll and benefits information systems as related to new hires, re-hires, terminations, eligibility dates, benefit enrollments, and any administrative changes. Process the approval and pay-out of bonuses.<\u002Fli>\n
  • Create an employment handbook, drafting new policies and editing existing policies with rigorous attention to maintaining compliance in policies and processes according to federal and provincial regulations.<\u002Fli>\n
  • Compile and submit the required information for federal reporting.<\u002Fli>\n
  • Manage unemployment notices and filings and assist with the filing and updates related to provincial taxes and unemployment taxes.<\u002Fli>\n
  • Manage WSIB cases.<\u002Fli>\n
  • Oversee administrative processes related to exiting and former employees such as termination in payroll and benefit management systems, return of company property, receipt of final paycheck, expense reimbursement, termination of benefits, RRSP rollover, ROEs, unemployment verifications, etc.<\u002Fli>\n
  • Act as point of contact between Gentell and payroll, HRIS, and benefit providers (medical, dental, disability, and life insurance benefits, retirement plan, etc.).<\u002Fli>\n
  • Assist employees with employment, payroll, and benefits-related questions and requests, referring complex and\u002For sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.<\u002Fli>\n
  • Administer new hire benefits enrollments and support annual benefits renewal, including system maintenance and post-data processing. Maintain benefit records and continuously improve the record-keeping systems. Ensures benefits changes are entered appropriately in the payroll system for payroll deduction.<\u002Fli>\n
  • Assists employees with health, dental, life, disability, and other related benefit claims with the help of a third-party broker.<\u002Fli>\n
  • Reconcile benefits enrollment statements and invoices and approve for payment.<\u002Fli>\n
  • Assist with maintaining up to date and complete employee data in personnel files and payroll\u002Fbenefits information systems. Ensure updates in event of hire and termination; benefits enrollments and changes; changes of address, salary, position, or benefits; training and licensure; etc. Assist in periodic employee file audits to ensure Federal, State, and Local compliance.<\u002Fli>\n
  • Create and implement procedures and forms for status changes and leave administration.<\u002Fli>\n
  • Source and recruit talent for unskilled, skilled and professional positions, through staffing agencies and direct sourcing.<\u002Fli>\n
  • Conduct periodic reports on HR metrics such as wage and salary history, turnover rates, benefits enrollments, and other employee data as requested.<\u002Fli>\n
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager and department managers to develop compensation metrics by department and position.<\u002Fli>\n
  • Make photocopies; mail, scan, and email documents; perform other clerical functions.<\u002Fli>\n
  • Collaborate in employee engagement and recognition efforts.<\u002Fli>\n
  • Manage day to day employee relations issues, offer coaching and consultation to managers on employee issues, and escalate to Corporate as appropriate.<\u002Fli>\n

    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Human Resources or related field and\u002For equivalent experience<\u002Fli>\n
    • GPHR highly preferred<\u002Fli>\n
    • 2-4 years of experience in Canadian, UK, and US Payroll and Benefits administration<\u002Fli>\n
    • HRIS administration experience; ADP WFN and Paylocity required<\u002Fli>\n
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy<\u002Fli>\n
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills<\u002Fli>\n
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail<\u002Fli>\n
